First of all, thank you for all of your messages silent followers! It was so much fun to read them and we read your messages to Brinley. We checked out your blogs if you left one and enjoyed hearing about you!

On a sad note, I dont know if you recall a post months ago where I mentioned a girl, Anika, who was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 2 years old and relapsed 3 years after she was off treatment. She has been battling long and hard and they have found out this week that they will lose her. It is heartbreaking. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/anikawilke Please pray for her family and little Anika that she will not be in pain these last few weeks/days of her life. This one was hard for David and I to read about because it hits very close to home, our family has been praying hard for them. I hate cancer.

I guess it has also been a while since an update, but that is because things are going along so wonderfully for us right now. Brinley is happy, happy, happy. And so are the rest of us. Sorry it's so quick, I'll give a better update later, but know that this has been a beautiful week in our little world.

Wow. What a sad story.

In my kids' school there are two kids who had leukemia (not sure what kind) one had more than one relapse. He needed a bone marrow transplant, but they couldn't find a donor. Finally, his parents decided to have another baby and during the pregnancy they discovered he was a match. When he was born, they were able to give the cord blood to his brother who then recovered - this was about 3 or 4 years ago and he's doing well. The other child was sick 7 years ago, missed all of 2nd grade, but is now healthy and starting 8th.
